New BMW X5 Debuts in the UAE
The New BMW X5 Makes Its UAE Debut with Bold Design and Neue Klasse Technology

The fifth-generation BMW X5 arrives in the UAE through AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors, introducing a new era of luxury, electrification, intelligent technology and driving performance.
The all-new BMW X5 has officially made its UAE debut, marking an important milestone for the German luxury carmaker. Introduced through AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors, the fifth-generation Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) combines BMW’s established performance heritage with innovative technologies inspired by the Neue Klasse.
Since its introduction in 1999, the BMW X5 has helped define the premium SUV segment. The latest generation takes that legacy forward with a redesigned exterior, advanced digital features and an expanded range of powertrain technologies.
A Bold New Design
The new BMW X5 introduces a striking exterior inspired by BMW’s Neue Klasse design philosophy.
Its upright front end features a vertically arranged kidney grille, distinctive double-X lighting signatures and sculpted body surfaces that create a commanding road presence.
Innovative BMW Winglets integrate the door handles into the vehicle’s pillars, producing a cleaner silhouette. Customers can also choose from eleven exterior colours and wheel designs reaching 23 inches.
The transformation reflects BMW’s broader design direction, also explored in CarBook Magazine’s coverage of the new BMW iX4.
Five Powertrain Technologies
One of the most significant developments is BMW’s decision to introduce five different powertrain technologies within the X5 family.
The range encompasses petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and fully electric variants, with hydrogen fuel-cell technology planned for a later stage.
The fully electric BMW iX5 60 xDrive introduces sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology, an 800-volt electrical architecture and a provisional driving range of up to 845 kilometres under WLTP testing.
Under suitable charging conditions, BMW says the electric model can recover up to 350 kilometres of range in approximately ten minutes.

A New Digital Luxury Experience
Inside, the BMW X5 introduces a redesigned cabin combining premium materials, spaciousness and advanced digital connectivity.
The BMW Panoramic iDrive system, powered by BMW Operating System X, integrates information and entertainment through a modern interface.
Highlights include BMW Panoramic Vision, an available 3D Head-Up Display and an optional passenger screen.
The technology builds on BMW’s evolving digital ecosystem, including its advanced navigation and driver-assistance innovations.
Driving Dynamics and Comfort
BMW continues to prioritise driving performance through adaptive suspension, balanced weight distribution and intelligent driver-assistance technologies.
Available Adaptive Chassis Control systems are designed to improve handling stability while maintaining the comfort expected from a premium luxury SUV.
The result is a vehicle engineered for everyday commuting, long-distance journeys and dynamic driving.
A New Chapter for BMW in the UAE
The arrival of the fifth-generation X5 strengthens BMW’s position in the UAE luxury SUV market.
With multiple propulsion technologies, sophisticated design and advanced digital features, the new X5 offers a glimpse into BMW’s future.
According to the official BMW Group announcement, the first variants are scheduled for market launch in late November, followed by electric and plug-in hybrid versions in early 2027.
UAE-specific pricing, configurations and delivery schedules remain subject to local confirmation.
