The New BMW 7 Series Arrives in Dubai with Neue Klasse Technology
LUXURY CARS | NEW LAUNCH

The new BMW 7 Series has made its regional debut in Dubai, bringing a significant technology and design update to the German marque’s flagship luxury sedan. Introduced by BMW Group Middle East, the latest 7 Series combines a redesigned exterior, next-generation digital technology and an expanded approach to individualisation
For the UAE market, the arrival is particularly relevant. Dubai served as the backdrop for the regional introduction, while AGMC, BMW’s official importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, has also announced the model’s local arrival.
A New Face for BMW Luxury
The updated 7 Series introduces BMW’s evolving design language for its luxury models. The front adopts a more monolithic appearance, combining the illuminated BMW kidney Iconic Glow with minimalist crystal headlights. At the rear, elongated light elements emphasize the sedan’s width and road presence.
Personalisation has also become a major part of the flagship’s identity. The BMW Individual programme offers an extensive selection of materials, finishes and two-tone exterior combinations. BMW says its Individual Dual-Finish process is a world first, underscoring the increasingly bespoke character of the 7 Series.
Neue Klasse Technology Comes to the 7 Series
The bigger story, however, is inside. The new 7 Series is BMW’s first luxury sedan to incorporate technologies developed for the company’s Neue Klasse generation. Central to the experience is BMW Panoramic iDrive, paired with BMW Operating System X, which changes how driving information and digital functions are presented across the cabin.
A passenger display adds another digital layer, while the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant provides voice-controlled access to functions including navigation, communication and entertainment.
Comfort remains fundamental to the car. Adaptive two-axle air suspension is available, while Integral Active Steering can turn the rear wheels by up to 3.5 degrees to improve maneuverability at lower speeds and stability at higher speeds.
Multiple Powertrain Choices
BMW continues to offer the flagship with different powertrain strategies rather than moving exclusively to one format. Depending on the model, the 7 Series family encompasses combustion, plug-in hybrid and fully electric options through the BMW i7 range.
For example, BMW’s Dubai specifications list the 740 Sedan with up to 400 hp, a 0–100 km/h time of 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. The broader range also includes performance-focused models such as the M760e xDrive and fully electric i7 M70 xDrive.
A Flagship Built for Modern Luxury
Nearly five decades after the first 7 Series appeared in 1977, BMW is positioning the latest iteration as both a traditional luxury limousine and a showcase for technologies that will increasingly appear across its model range.
Its Dubai arrival brings that combination of craftsmanship, digitalisation and personalisation directly to one of the world’s most important luxury-car markets.
